IATA Training Courses Online
This IATA Online Training course has been used by shippers, forwarders and airlines around the world for the last 15 years for both IATA Initial & Recurrent Training and has been updated to include the major changes in the 2014 IATA DGR (Dangerous Goods Regulations 55th Edition). A current copy of the 2014 IATA DGR is required to take the program.
This modular IATA Online Training program consists of 9 units and covers all shippers’ responsibilities including: Identification, Classification, Packing, Marking, Labeling, Handling and Documentation and requires approximately 12-18 training hours. (If you are taking this for IATA Recurrent training, it will take you less time.)
Students take the IATA online training course using a current copy of the 2014 IATA DGR (Dangerous Goods Regulations). In each unit there is an overview of the topics, detailed references to the IATA DGR for related information that the student must read, and then a unit quiz at the end of each unit. (There is a final exam as well.)
Students can start and stop the IATA online training course at any unit and the program will remember where they left off and pick up the training from that point when they log in again. The student cannot complete the course and gain access to the final exam without successfully completing each unit.
During the Unit Quizzes, if the student answers incorrectly more than once, the program will automatically make them start the relevant section of the unit again.
